In April 2023, RINL achieved its highest-ever performance for the month of April since its inception. The company produced 419,000 tons of hot metal from its two blast furnace operations, representing a 20% increase over the corresponding period last year. Blast furnace-1, also known as Godavari, produced 202,000 tons of hot metal (a 14% increase over CPLY), while Blast furnace-2, also known as Krishna, produced 218,000 tons of hot metal (a 26% increase over CPLY). RINL also achieved unit-wise best performances with 61,000 tons of products from its Structural Mill (over 100% growth over CPLY), 143,000 tons of finished steel from expansion units (Wire Rod Mill-2, Special Bar Mill & Structural Mill), and 80,000 tons of high-end value-added steel (over 100% growth over CPLY).
In addition, RINL achieved the best technical parameters performance for ANY April month since its inception. The company achieved a blast furnace productivity of 2.09 tons (of hot metal) per day per cubic meter from its BF Shop (both blast furnace 1 & 2 together), a blast furnace productivity of 2.01 tons (of hot metal) per day per cubic meter from Blast Furnace-1, and a blast furnace productivity of 2.17 tons (of hot metal) per day per cubic meter from Blast Furnace-2. These figures represent a remarkable growth of 20%, 14%, and 26% respectively over the corresponding period last year (CPLY-April, 2022)
